In general: If for whatever reason, no matter how
insignificant, the user is not certain that the product
satisfies the requirements, it must be withdrawn from
use and inspected by an expert. Any product that
shows signs of wear should be withdrawn.
The product must be replaced without fail after
a fall!
4. CLEANING & STORAGE
The equipment must be stored
– dry,
– at room temperature (15 – 25°C),
– protected from the light (UV radiation, welding
equipment,...),
– clean, away from chemicals (liquids, vapours, gas-
es,...) and other aggressive conditions,
– protected from sharp-edged objects.
To clean , rinse the rope with lukewarm water and
wipe with a damp cloth. Dry the rope before storage.
The rope should be allowed to dry naturally, and not
close to fire or other sources of heat.
The rope should always be transported such that it
is protected from dirt and suitably packed (rope bag).
The rope should only be disinfected with substanc-
es that do not have any effect on the synthetic
materials used.
5. WARNING & SAFETY NOTICE
– If you have any doubts as to the safe condition of
the product, it should be replaced
immediately.
– A system that has been exposed to strain in a fall
must be withdrawn from use and
returned to the manufacturer or a specialist repair
workshop for maintenance and inspection
before being used again.
– Snow, ice and humidity can affect the handling of
the rope and its strength.
– High temperatures, sharp edges and chemical sub-
stances (such as acids) must be avoided.
Abseil slowly to avoid excess heat developing. UV
radiation and abrasion have a negative
effect on the rope and its strength.
– Knots in the rope reduce the breaking load signifi-
cantly.
