Activating and deactivating

Adjusting the sound
Important!
The sound programs “LOUDNESS” and
“S-BASS” cannot be combined. Instead they
deactivate one another to prevent overloading the ampli-
fi er and speakers, particularly in the bass range.
Equalizer
Pushing the button

“P-EQ” cycles through preset sound
patterns: FLAT (unchanged sound), POP, JAZZ, CLASSIC
and ROCK.
Aurally compensated volume
Pushing the button

“LOUDNESS” activates and deacti-
vates aurally-compensated volume. When the function is
activated, the symbol “
” appears in the display panel

. When the playback is quiet, the sound is fuller.
Bass boost

“S-BASS” activates/deactivates the
boost of low tones and to some degree of the high tones
as well. The message “S-BASS ON” or “OFF” appears in
the display panel

Dimmer

brightness. The display changes every time you push the
button: bright, medium, dark.
