Troubleshooting

The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this doesn’t work, please contact our hotline (see page 3). 
Take note of the warranty instructions.

Problem

The CD receiver is not 
working, the display panel 
is dark.

The CD receiver has no power.

Check the power cord and socket.

The CD receiver is not 
working, but the display 
panel is on.

The volume has been set too low.

Increase the volume with the control

No CD playback and/or 
“NO DISC” appears.

No disc inserted.

Insert a CD.

Disc inserted upside down.

Insert the disc with the labelled side up.

CD damaged or dirty.

Clean or change the disc.

Condensation in the device.

Remove the disc and do not use the device for 
one to two hours.

No or distorted music 
playback. 

The data storage device contains fi les in a 
format other than MP3 or WMA.

Delete the incorrect fi les.

File damaged.

Delete or skip fi le.

Remote control doesn’t 
work.

No line of sight between the remote con-
trol and the device.

Remove any obstacles.

Remote control not pointed properly.

Point the remote control towards the device.

Battery inserted in the remote control with 
incorrect polarity.

Insert the battery the right way around (see 
page 10).

Battery in the remote control is empty.

Insert a new battery (see page 10).

Care and cleaning

Clean the CD receiver and the remote control regularly 
with a soft, damp microfi bre cloth. When doing so, 
please be absolutely sure to observe the following instruc-
tions:

Risk of electric shock!

In contact with live parts, water can lead to 
electric shock or short circuit.

•  Make sure that no liquid penetrates the unit.
•  Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning.

Attention

Risk of damage!

Using the wrong cleaning materials may dam-
age the delicate surface of the case.

•  If possible, only use plain water without any additives. 

In case of stubborn marks, a mild soap solution may 
be used.

•  In no circumstances should caustic cleaning products, 

white spirit, thinners, petrol or similar be used for 
cleaning.

How to clean your CDs

Only clean your   CDs with cleaners 
 designated  for  this  purpose.

If necessary, carefully wipe off the 
disc with a soft, lint -free   cloth from the 
middle to the edge . In the process, 
hold the disc between your index 
 fi nger   and thumb  of the  other  hand. 

Touching the playback side of the disc 
could cause playback problems.
