The integrated clock displays the current time in the
display panel
11 . The clock is set manually or via RDS in
radio mode. A sleep function is also available (up to 90
minutes).
Setting the time
Automatically via RDS
Set a radio station with RDS signal (see page 13). After a
few minutes, the CD receiver receives the time signal from
the radio station and sets the clock accordingly.
Manually
If no RDS station is received, you can also set the clock
manually:
• Switch the device to standby mode with the button

or 48 “ ” (the blue light illuminates).
• Briefl y push the button 41 “CLOCK” once. The current
time will appear in the display panel 11 .
• Push and hold the button 41 “CLOCK” for three sec-
onds. The message “CLOCK SET” will appear briefl y
in the display panel
11 and then the time “0:00”. The
hours will blink.
• You can set the number of hours with the volume con-
trol 10 “VOLUME” or with the button 32 “Vol +/–”.
• Briefl y push the button 41 “CLOCK” once. The number
of minutes will now blink in the display panel 11 .
• Set the number of minutes with the volume control 10
“VOLUME” or with the button 32 “Vol +/–”.
• Briefl y push the button 41 “CLOCK” once.
The time has now been set.
Reading the time
To read the time, briefl y push the button 41 “CLOCK”. The
time will appear in the display panel for 3 or 90 seconds
(in standby).
Sleep function
This function switches the CD receiver off after a preset
time.
• Start the selected playback.
• Push the button
27 “SLEEP/TIMER”. The message
“SLEEP OFF” will appear in the display panel 1 .
• Pushing the button 27 “SLEEP/TIMER” again sets the
desired time to deactivate in minutes: 90, 60, 30, 20
or 10, the setting “SLEEP ---” switches off the sleep
function.
