Connect the AC cable in accordance with the labelling or the rele-
vant installation manual for the battery inverter. Use a torque
wrench with a tightening torque of 20 Nm for the AC connection
terminals and 3.9 Nm for the grounding cable.
8 COMMISSIONING
8.1 COMMISSIONING A SINGLE UNIT
WARNING! Possible damage to the battery storage system
Incorrect configuration may damage the battery storage system. The parameter settings influence the
battery inverter’s charging behaviour. For this reason, it is important to make the correct settings dur-
ing commissioning.
Prerequisites
The SMA STPS 60 battery inverter has been installed in accordance with the specifications (installa-
tion/connection) from the manufacturer SMA.
Procedure

Connect the DC connecting cables 5.1

on the APU HV1000-S. The colours
of the plugs must match the colours of the sockets on the
APU HV1000-S, i.e. red plug to red socket and black plug to black
socket.
The plugs must audibly snap into place.
2 Check the wiring of the battery inverter and battery storage system (see also the installation manual
for the battery inverter).

Inspect the component wiring in accordance with section “5.9 Wiring the battery modules” on page
22 et. seq. If the wiring is correct, all live components will be protected against physical contact.
Switch the DC power switch on the BatBreaker (if present) to “ON”. Ensure that the battery inverter’s
DC load-disconnecting switch is set to “ON”.
ATTENTION! Possible damage to the APU HV1000-S due to undetected errors during installation
Carry out the check carefully in accordance with step 3 , as damage to the APU HV1000-S can occur
in the event of deviations.

Now insert the back-up fuse for the battery storage system in the outdoor distribution enclosure.
