6.3 INSTALLING THE COMPONENTS
DANGER! Lethal electric shock if grounding is insufficient or absent!
If a fault occurs on the unit, insufficient or absent grounding can cause damage to the unit and this
brings with it the risk of a lethal electric shock. Make sure that the PE supply line described in section
“6.2 Connecting the external cabling” on page 26, step
8
is correctly connected to a suitable
grounding rod or foundation grounding or similar.
1
Check whether the two-pin plug for the e-stop connection is
plugged into the APU HV1000-S. If necessary, plug it in as the
APU HV1000-S remains inactive without this plug. Further infor-
mation on the e-stop is available in section “6.4 E-stop contact” on
page 32 of this installation and operating manual.

All battery modules
1
of a TS HV 70 Outdoor must have exactly the same state of charge. So be sure
to check the battery modules’ voltage before fitting them.
The battery module’s voltage must be 50 +/- 0.1 V at the point of installation. If you notice any deviations,
please email [email protected] or contact the TESVOLT Service Line on +49 (0)3491 8797 - 200.
3
Insert the first battery module below the APU into the slide rails
on the left half of the cabinet.
4
Fix it to the pre-installed cage nuts using four M6 x 16 flat-head
screws
L
(cross-head)
L.1
and their plastic washers . Now fit
the remaining modules in the left half of the cabinet. If 16 battery
modules are being used, even the bottom position is occupied.
5
As soon as the left half of the cabinet has been filled, install the
battery modules in the right side. Start at the level of the top left
module (the position at APU height remains unoccupied). Fix the
module as described in step
5
. Then insert the next module
below the one that has already been installed, fasten it in the
same way as the others and continue until all the modules are
installed.
