you have reached the desired year, briefly press the START/STOP button to
confirm.
4.2.4 - Setting Month/Date and Hour/minutes - as soon as the selection of the
year has confirmed, the appliance automatically switches to the month setting; the
screen flashes the month set in the lower left corner (7). The initial month/day is
01/01. When the month indicator flashes, press the
MEM button and the month
will increase by one each time it is pressed. Once the correct month is displayed,
press the
START/STOP button to confirm. The display then automatically
switches to setting the day; press the MEM key to increase the day up to the
correct value, then press START/STOP to confirm. Do the same for the hour and
minutes.
NOTE: if you only want to change the selected user
, access the
system settings as described at point 4.2.1, then, at point 4.2.2, after selecting the
desired user,
or with MEM , confirm by pressing START/STOP longer,
about 3 seconds, the user is thus memorized and the device switches off. From
now on, all subsequent readings will be stored on the new selected user.
4.3 Cuff connection
Insert the cuff tube into the opening on the left side of the appliance indicated
by the drawing at page 41
5. MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
Note: You should always be seated and calm before and during measurement.
5.1 Before measurement
• Avoid eating and smoking as well as all forms of exertion directly before
measurement. These factors influence the measurement result. Find time to relax
by sitting in an armchair in a quiet atmosphere for about ten minutes before taking
a measurement.
• Remove any garment that fits closely to your upper arm.
• Always measure on the left arm.
• Always compare measurements taken at the same time of day, since blood
pressure changes during the course of the day, as much as 20-40 mmHg.
