Format:
Specifies the colour encoding system of the video input. You can
choose between PAL and NTSC.
.!.
Changes in this field require a reboot.
Aspect Ratio:
Specifies the aspect ratio. If an analogue input signal includes the
WSS (Wide Screen Signal) the encoder can detect whether the
input signal is in 16:9 or in 4:3, when menu ‘Aspect Ratio’ is
switched to ‘AUTO’. In the PAL standard video signal the wide
screen signal is included in the first half of line 23. In the NTSC
standard video signal the wide screen signal is included in the first
half of line 21. If your video source does not include the WSS in its
analogue output signal, although you have a ’16:9’ signal, you can
manually switch in this field the encoder to ’16:9’ or ‘4:3’.
Resolution:
Specifies the video encoding resolution. You can choose between
full D1, half D1 and SIF/CIF resolution. Full D1, Half D1 and
SIF/CIF streams can have a min. bandwidth of 500 kBit/s.
VBV size in ms:
Specifies the input- and output buffer of the encoder and decoder
and have an effect directly to the delay.
.!.
We recommend a VBV buffer size of 2500 msec. Here
you are very safety.
.!.
For a small delay you can set the VBV buffer up to 800
msec., but when the video content is complex, it is
possible that a buffer overflow occurs and because of
this the stream is faulty.
.!.
Between the VBV buffer, the enabled padding
mode and the transport rate exists a closed
connection and their settings have an effect to the
video. Therefore we recommend the following:
Big VBV buffer value → Small transport rate value
Small VBV buffer value → Big transport rate value
.!.
This field have only an effect when padding is ‘ON’.
Deblocking:
Enables / Disables the deblocking function. You can choose
between:
AUTO
OFF
Encode Mode:
Specifies the encoding mode. You can choose between:
