The port uses 802.1X to communicate with the clients and switch between
authentication and un-authentication states.
3.10 System Setting
3.10.1 Change Password
To enter the page below, click “System Setting”—“Change Password”.
This page allows you to modify switch’s login password which is allowed to consist of a
maximum of 15 characters.
To modify a password, first enter the valid old password, new password and confirm the
new password, then click the “Apply” button. After you modified the password, you have
to use the new password for next-time login to switch’s web-based management
interface.
3.10.2 Power Save
The power save mode which is a low-carbon technology can be used to save system
energy consumption. When this feature is enabled, the energy consumption of the ports
that are not connected to devices is almost zero, which greatly reduces the system’s
energy consumption but might affect the ports’ driving distance. It is recommended not
enable the power save function when a port’s driving distance exceeds 80m. It is
disabled by default.
