11. Extension owner
11.1. Introduction
The extension’s owners must access to the system to listen their mailbox messages or to change mailbox
configuration. To avoid not authorized mailbox access, it is password protected.
11.2. Access to own mailbox
To access to the extension configuration simply call the T40 group number, when welcome message is
played, press “#” followed by your extension number, for ex. #120, #233, etc. At this point the system ask for
the password.
Note that if you use a PBX integrated version, only the password is asked (due to the fact that PBX send
automatically the extension’s caller number to the PBX).
NOTE: When you create an extension, the password is the same to the extension number (ex.
extension 120 has the password #120). In a second time, all extensions owner can change the
default password: please see 11.5 “configuration changing” paragraphs.
11.3. Available functions
Extension management is vocal menus guided. Owners do not have to remember any code; they only have
to follow the voice guide. Expert users can speed up management, simply dialing over messages play.
Main functions available to extensions are: message listening and extension configuration.
