These are steps in detail:
1. Build a new menu; impose a preferred name, for example “NEW MENU”.
2. A mask appears with only the start label.
3. Based on previous example now add the digit “3” that will contain the voice menu with extension’s list:
•
press “N” new digit
•
the new digit is requested; digit “3” and press <Enter>
•
link to digit “3” a new submenu pressing “M” from possible listed actions.
New submenu:
from the current node, a new submenu is created.
Activate VM:
the digit will activate generic voice mail service. It is possible force T40 to use a fixed mailbox
to record to or, if blank, T40 will ask the mailbox number to the caller.
Call operator:
the digit will transfer the caller to the operator number (indicated on general parameters).
Go back:
digit brings back to the previous menu level. This option is not active at top level.
Call extension:
digit will dial the extension number you write in associated field. T40 will place the caller on
hold and will call the programmed extension.
All choices are to be confirmed with <Enter> or discarded with <Esc>.
All “menu” or “submenu” requires a message. You can directly create a message in a simple way.
Conversely, “actions” does not need a message; they just operate their service.
NOTE: Only for “start” menu and for other level menus is possible to link a message, in those case T40 does
as automatic operator, plays the message and it wait for a user selection (active numbers on this menu or
directly an extension number)
In case of no selection, as default, the system diverts caller to the operator (to modify this option, please see
“Final Action” at the point 4 of this paragraph).
