6.2. Start

Up

Once the lines are connected and configured as above, is possible to check the system, easily with a call to
T40 group extension number. If everything is ok, a standard message is played and an extension number
selection is requested. Then hang up and start with services configuration.

Due the system doesn’t has neither video nor keyboard, for the programming is request to plug the com port
to a ANSI terminal emulator using a null-modem cable, and setup the communication baud rate at 115.200
bps. There are much software suited to do this operation; following is descript how to use HyperTerminal™
software, a default windows component from Windows95™ version.

Open HyperTerminal™ from “Accessory”, “Communications” from the tool bar.

In the following window, the program asks to create a new connection:
