Internet Phone User Manual

another modem.

If you are a cable modem user, and cannot make call after connecting to

the cable modem, please make sure the cable is connected correctly.

Press the menu button, select setup, network, and mode select and then

make sure that it is set to DHCP (cable modem). If these are correct,

it seems that the Cable modem service provider is still retaining the

hardware address of the existing PC LAN card. In this case, please

reboot the cable modem.

Finally, if all the above is not your problem, do this final check.

Please look into the LCD display. If you can see the flashing, please

contact your ISP service provider. If you are an ADSL user, and the

ADSL is set as Disable, please contact ISP service provider. If you are

satisfied that all the above is in good order and you are not behind a

firewall, please call your ITSP for assistance.

Problem: I have a firewall and the Internet phone cannot work within my firewall.

A. The Internet Phone can only work outside the firewall. Operation within a

firewall is not supported.

Problem: I can make outgoing off-net calls to analog phone numbers but on-net calls

to another Internet Phone is demonstrating only one-way audio – the recipient can

hear me but I cannot hear him.

A. Check if you are on a Win 2000 Internet sharing feature that is a simple

proxy application. This proxy does not support on-net calls.
