7 System maintenance and soft-

ware update

VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI – version 21.0.009

Page 179

Carry out the following steps:
1. Load the file with the GATE Manager (version 21 or

higher) to the

/boot

directory.

2. Restart the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI. Do not shut

down the box before the update is complete. After the

update, the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI can be reached

by the GATE Manager.

7.5.2

Restore the original TELES configuration

To restore the default configuration files (

ip.cfg

pabx.cfg

, and

route.cfg

) perform the following steps:

1. Power off the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI.

2. Connect both Ethernet ports to each other with the

help of one Ethernet cable.

3. Start the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI by connecting the

power supply.

4. Watch the LEDs on the front panel. Wait until the red

and green LEDs in the middle are flashing. Now discon-

nect the power supply.

5. Wait five seconds and connect the power supply again.

6. Watch the LEDs on the front panel. Wait until the red

and green LEDs are flashing. Now disconnect the Eth-

ernet cable.

7. Connect the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI with Ethernet

and wait until the startup is completed.

8. The original TELES configuration is now available. Until

the next restart of the VoIPBox DSL / VoIPBox BRI the

old configuration remains available in the following

files:

/tmp/backup_ip.cfg

–

/tmp/backup_pabx.cfg

–

/tmp/backup_route.cfg
