Merging Modules

Place the

rst pair of modules to be merged side-by-side such that the merge

connector assemblies line up and connect between the two modules. (See
Figure 50.)

Push the two modules together until the connectors are seated in place.

Add any additional modules to the set.

CAUTION.

Ensure that the mainframe is powered-off before installing or removing

the modules. Failure to do so can damage the mainframe or the modules.

Place the merged module set into the mainframe.

Align the tops and bottoms of the modules with the slots in the mainframe.
(See Figure 51 on page 61.) You may need the help of another individual if
your merged module set contains more than two modules.
