Adjustment Procedure—2213 Service
e. Set the X I 0 Magnifier o ff (knob in).
g. ADJUST—5 ns Linearity (C734) fo r one time marker
every 2 divisions over the center 8 divisions o f the mag
nified sweep. Adjust the Horizontal POSITION control to

Timing (C626)
a. Set the SEC/DIV switch to 5 jus.
j. Repeat parts b through i u ntil no further improve
ment is noted.
b. Select 5-jus time markers from the time-mark
generator.
5. Check Timing Accuracy
a. Select 50-ns tim e markers from the time-mark
generator.
c. A D JU S T -5 jus Timing (C626) fo r 1 time marker per
division across the graticule area.
b. Use the Channel 1 POSITION control to center the
trace vertically. Adjust the TRIGGER LEVEL control
fo r a stable, triggered display.
4. Adjust High-Speed Timing (C754, C774, C784,
and C734)
a. Set the SEC/DIV switch to 0.05 jus.
c. Use the Horizontal POSITION control to align the
firs t time marker th at is 50 ns beyond the start o f the
sweep w ith the 2nd vertical graticule line.
b. Select 50-ns tim e markers from the time-mark
generator.
NOTE
When making tim ing measurements, use as a reference
the same p o in t on each time marker.
c. ADJUST—50 ns Linearity (C754) fo r equally spaced
time markers at the start o f the sweep.
d. CHECK—Timing accuracy is w ith in the lim its shown
in Table 5-6 fo r the applicable position o f the X10 Mag
nifier. When making the check w ith the X10 Magnifier On,
d. Set the X10 Magnifier on (knob out) and select 10-ns
tim e markers from the time-mark generator.
