10. SCO UNIX DRIVERS
This chapter explains how to install the SCO UNIX Boot Time Loadable Driver (BTLD) for
Tekram PCI SCSI adapter DC-390.
Two different installation procedures will be described separately. Use the one that fits your
environment:
•
SCO UNIX has been installed on a non-SCSI boot drive
•
SCO UNIX is to be installed from scratch on a SCSI drive attached to a DC-390 host
adapter
The example used throughout this chapter is for DC-390 under SCO Unix 3.2v4.x. The
following is the table for mapping different driver names used for DC-390 series under either
SCO Unix 3.2v4.x or SCO OpenServer 5.0:

10.1 Preparing a Driver Diskette
In order to install the Unix/ OpenServer driver, a 1.44M driver diskette must be made first.
Download the SCO39X.ZIP file from our Website at
http://www.tekram.com
SCO39X.ZIP is a compressed file of the SCO Unix/ OpenServer driver diskette, which
contains three files: (1) RAWRITE.EXE, (2) OS5_39X and (3)SCO.TXT. In order to install
the Unix/ OpenServer driver, a 1.44M diskette must be made first from this file. Follow the
steps below:
C:\unzipped\SCO>RAWRITE OS5_39X ------> Enter
RaWrite 1.2 - Write disk file to raw floppy diskette
Enter source file name: OS5_39X ------> Enter
Enter destination drive: A: ------> Enter
Please insert a formatted diskette into drive A: and press -ENTER- :
Number of sectors per track for this disk is 18
Writing image to drive A:. Press ^C to abort.
Track: 79 Head: 1 Sector: 16
Done.
