8.2 Scheduled maintenance

Before each use make sure that the BAG, SPIRAL TUBE and MASK KIT are
intact.
If MASTER FLUX is not used for over a month carry out an operational
check.
MASTER FLUX
EVERY 24 MONTHS OF USE OR IN CASE OF FAULTY OPERATION CONTACT THE DEALER
TO PERFORM A CHECK ON THE DEVICE
(ALL PROCEDURES MUST BE CARRIED OUT EXCLUSIVELY AT THE TECNO-GAZ PREMISES)
Shipping must be prepared in suitable packaging only:
Disassemble the flowmeter box
- Clean the device (except for the pressure reducers)
- Put the parts in plastic bags
Disassemble the pressure reducers from the cylinders
- Put them in clean plastic bags.
Use the original packaging.
PRESSURE REDUCERS
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED IN THE MANUALS OF THE DEVICES, BEING
CAREFUL OF SCHEDULED AND UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.
CHECK FOR LEAKS:
- Close the “FLOW” knob (A – figure A9) .
- Open the valves on the Oxygen and Nitrous oxide cylinders and read the values
provided by the pressure gauges.
- Close the cylinder valves
- Wait ~ 5 minutes and read the new values displayed on the pressure gauges.
- If the values are the same, the device does not have any leaks.
- If the values differ it is necessary to CHECK THE DEVICE.
CHECK THE ONE-WAY VALVE ON THE MASK (Only
Art. 1500/AS and 1501/AS)

Turn the perforated ring nut on the valve (31 – figure A4) until the holes close.
- Let air into the mask intake at a very low pressure, you must be able to perceive the
outfeed flow from the mask.

Let air into the gas evacuation tube at a very low pressure, you must not be able to
perceive any flow in the mask.

