Remove retaining rings on shaft
ends. Slide shaft towards the left
side plate, tap gently on the
bearing sleeve to loosen it from
the side plate and ease out the
shaft with spring drums.
To release the drum from the
shaft remove the retaining ring,
slide the drum sideways and then
pull out the pin.
When reassembling remember to
position left and right drum in the
correct sides, handle spring rolls
with care and refer to timing belt
section regarding belt tension.
1453 013 Bearing
Bearings are located on shaft with
spring drums and can be replaced
when shaft is removed (refer to
previous section).
Remove right side bearing with
sleeve, too, and slide the bearings
out of the sleeves.
