REPLACING THE STEPPING MOTOR (PRINT BLOCK)
1) Remove the side cover from the printer. (Refer to Section 2.2.)
2) Remove the solenoid unit. (Refer to Section 2.3.)
3) Remove the CPU PC board. (Refer to Section 2.5.)
4) Disconnect the harness from the stepping motor.
5) Remove the two SM-4x8 screws, loosen the two belts from the pinion gear, and remove the
stepping motor.
6) When replacing the stepping motor, place the platen belt first then feed roller belt around the
pinion gear so that the partition is positioned between the two belts. Pull up portion A of the
stepping motor at 4.1 kg ±300g force and secure it so that the belts have no slack or
disengagement.
7) Reassemble the printer in the reverse order of removal.
