9.3 FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD

Click on the RUN button and start the program download.

While downloading, the progress indicator will be indicated as shown in the figure below. At this
time, “NOW LOADING…” is displayed on the printer LCD.

After downloading the program successfully, the display will be as shown below. At this time, the
printer is in the ON LINE mode. To finish the program download, click on the END button. If you
want to perform the program download to other printers, change the printer and start it up in
download mode, then click on the RUN button.

NOTES:

1. Only download command is available on downloading.

2. In the “DOWNLOAD MODE”, the firmware may not be downloaded from some kinds of

PC. If it happens, use the “DOWNLOAD MODE2”. (Centronics Interface ACK-BUSY
timing is different between “DOWNLOAD MODE” and “DOWNLOAD MODE2.)
