9. Operation

9.2 Before using the write function of Windows XP

CD-R/RW write can be performed using Windows XP Explorer or Me-
dia Player. Refer to the online help or the instruction manual of Win-
dows XP for detailed operation method. The settings required for using
this function are described below:

1. Open My Computer and right-click on the drive icon representing

your drive. Select Property from the pop-up menu.

2. Open the Recording tab and make sure that the following setting

items are checked. (the picture shows the window for the CD-
W224PUK).

– Enable CD recording on this drive

– Automatically eject the CD after writing
