lcp-echo-failure
After pppd has sent

LCP echo requests and received no LCP
echo replies as an answer it assumes that the remote station is
not available. If this occurs, pppd will disconnect the connection.
To use this option a value larger than

must be entered. This
option can be used to automatically disconnect a connection
which is already physically disconnected.
lcp-echo-interval
This option causes an LCP echo request to be sent by the pppd
every
n
seconds. Normally the remote station will answer with an
LCP echo reply. This option can be used in conjunction with the
LCP ECHO FAILURE option, to ascertain whether a remote
station is contactable or not.
domain
Inserts the entered domain name to the local host name for
authentication purposes
logfile
Inserts log messages to the /var/log/ppp/<type>/ppp#.log
