8 Save and restore configuration

Note



Saving the router configuration locally after finishing all configuration steps is highly
recommended.



The save configuration features specified here differs in their scope and routine.



A saved configuration can only be rolled back by the same method it has been created with.

8.1 Save configuration

8.1.1 Webinterface

Use your Browser to log on to the router´s Webinterface and navigate to

System > Configuration

Handling

Figure 22: Save and restore configuration

Enter a custom name for the configuration file in the top field

Enter filename:

Backup/Restore/Delete

and save the current configuration by pressing the

[Backup]

button.

In next step choose this saved configuration file in section

Download Configuration.

Therefore

press the

[...]

button to open a selection popup.

By pressing the Download button the choosen configuration can be saved to your local hard drive. You
are able to send this file via email now (e.g. for issue analyses to TDT support team) or store it for backup
purposes.
