Configuring graphics
1. In the Windows status bar, click on the [Start] button and then [Control
Panel].
2. Select the category “Appearance and Themes”.
3. Select the task “Change the screen resolution“.
The “Display Properties” dialogue window appears. The “Settings” tab is
visible.
The default setting of the screen resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels. The
possible settings are dependent on the internal graphics of the PC and
your monitor.
4. Set the screen resolution and the colour quality based on your monitor
manual and according to your preferences.
Feel free to try different settings.
5. Click on [Apply] to test the setting.
The screen will turn dark for a moment and then show the new settings.
The following message will appear: “Your desktop has been reconfigured.
Do you want to keep these settings?“
If the screen remains dark for longer, then the selected setting does not
suit your monitor. After a few seconds, the monitor will automatically re-
vert to your previous setting.
6. Click on [Yes] if you want to keep the new settings. Click on [No] if you
want to revert to the previous settings.
7. If the settings are to your liking, close the “Display Properties” dialogue
box by clicking [OK].
