Option 3: Restore everything (except user files).
With this option, your complete system with all its settings will be restored.
Your personal files will be preserved.
ATTENTION: The personal data must be stored in the “My Documents”
folder or they will be lost.
This option should be used if option 1 and 2 are not enough.
Option 4: Complete restore (all data will be deleted!)
This option is your last resort if everything else has failed. All files and set-
tings will be lost irrevocably. Before using this option, you should be sure
that you either have backup copies of your data, e.g. on CD, or that you
don't mind losing all the files on your hard drive. If this is not the case, you
should consult a PC workshop. This can help in many cases.
To restore the system, proceed as follows:
1. Start up the PC.
2. When the message appears that you can restore the system with the [F9]
key, hold down the [F9] key until the “Targa SystemRecovery” software
has started.
3. In the “Targa System Recovery” window, tick the box next to the desired
restore option.
We recommend that you try the options from top to bottom until your PC
functions correctly. You should only select the “Complete restore (all data
will be deleted!)” option if the first three options have failed.
4. Click [Continue] and in the following window read the instructions for the
selected restore option.
5. To start the restore process, click the [Run program] button.
You can exit the “Targa SystemRecovery” software without executing a
restore option by clicking [Exit program].
