Customizing Watermarks
Custom color watermarks can identify special types of documents, such as
“Confidential.” The Watermark settings allow you to position your
watermarks on your printed page, and to specify, add, or delete
watermarks.
After you choose your settings, click
OK .

Text
Specifies the text of the watermark. From the
list you can select a predefined watermark.
Page
Selects which pages the watermark will be
printed on.
Top / Bottom
Top prints the watermark over the print data.
Bottom places the print data on the top of the
watermark.
Count
Selects how many watermarks are printed on
each page.
Separation
Specifies the distance between each watermark.
If you want to automatically set the spacing bet-
wen watermarks, use n .
Name
Selects the font of the watermark.
Color
Selects the color of the watermark.
Darkness
Selects the value of darkness for the watermark.
Bold
Prints the watermark in bold.
Italic
Prints the watermark in italics.
Size
Selects the size of the font for the watermark.
Position
Automatically/
User defined
Specifies where the watermark will be printed on
the page. If you select Automatically , the
watermark will be automatically centered on the
page. If you select User defined , you must also
set the X and Y coordinates of the watermark.
Position
X
Specifies the horizontal position of the water-
mark on the page. The position is measured in
percentage points from the left edge to the right
edge of the page. If you select 0 , the watermark
will begin at the left margin. If you select 100 ,
the watermark will begin at the right margin.

Y
Specifies the vertical position of the watermark
on the page. The position is measured in per-
centage points from the top edge to the bottom
edge of the page. If you select 0 , the watermark
will begin at the top margin. If you select 100 ,
the watermark will begin at the bottom margin.
