Hold a cloth underneath the check valve 

with strainer and remove the strainer to 

drain water

Tools required: Flathead drive

* Draining and cleaning operation should be 

conducted for both the hot and cold water 

pipes.

Removing the strainer from the hot water may 

cause output of boiling water. Utmost care must be 

taken when draining hot water.

Wipe off any spilled water and remove 

the cloths from the floor

Clean the mesh on the strainer using a 

soft brush (such as toothbrush) then 

return this to the original check valve 

with the strainer and screw tightly

Check that the strainer is fitted tightly 

before opening the tap

Press the maintenance cover onto the 

front cover and close to the original state 

then attach with urea screws (two 

screws)

<Water leakage inspection>

Check the following every week (approximately):

 • Open the maintenance cover and check for water spilled onto the floor

 • Check for water spilled around the maintenance cover and side panel

If water leakage has occurred, contact your local Takara Belmont dealer because the pipe inside may be 

damaged.

CAUTION

 • Screw the strainer tightly.

Loose strainers may cause water leakage.

 • Wipe off any drained water spilled on the floor.
