At WAN Interface you allow to configure the WAN port data mode and PPP encapsulate.
The WAN LINK LED on front panel can help you to diagnosis the WAN port PPP link is success
connect and PPP protocol is up, you can also check it from
interface static
at
Monitoring
menu
to make sure the PPP link is UP.
If you have setup the physical WAN port connect and configure the PPP encapsulate at proper
static, but WAN LINK LED is off and the
interface static
shows WAN link is down, then you
have focus on the both setting of PPP encapsulation and physical connect. When WAN LINK
LED is bright mean “Serial is up and protocol is up”. The following are the example of WAN
PPP setting.
