4.1 Configuring the WANpro from a PC.
If you are configuring your router from a PC (not a dumb terminal), you need a type of
communications software called
terminal emulation software
. The PC uses this software to send
commands to your WANpro. Table 2-1 lists some common names for this software, based on the
type of PC you are using.

You can use the terminal emulation to change settings for the type of device that is connected to
the PC, in this case a WANpro, configure the software to the following settings, so that your PC
can communication with your WANpro:

No flow control
After the WANpro has been successfully connected to your network, you can make future
changes to configuration through telnet application.

You can access TCS (Terminal Configuration System) through a Telnet connection, when you
have your WANpro LAN IP setup, to setup of LAN please refer to
Chapter 6.
