11. Hook up electric cord
Fully seated in the trailer with a sight clockwise turn.
Use the locking ring for water tight connection.
12. Check Post breakers ON
There will be a 60 second delay as the EMS tests the
electric power and closes relay. If you listen closely,
there will be an audible “click”. Turning ON the
propane and battery is something you could do during
the EMS test to save time.
13. Turn Propane ON, Confirm Battery ON
Open the valve slowly. The sudden rush of propane may
close the inline safety fuse. Battery should have been
ON for towing.
14. Deploy step
The step cover is purely ornamental. Put out the door
mat. If rain is expected, place a box under the trailer to
keep dirty shoes stored under the trailer.
15. Check voltage, above 12.6v
12.6v is the charged battery’s voltage. If the voltage is
not at least 13.6v, external power is not connected.
16. External Water hook up:
◦
White hose to water supply
◦
Filter to white hose
◦
Clear hose to filter
◦
Regulator to trailer
◦
Clear hose to regulator
◦
Turn ON water & Check 45psi
A small burst of water will clear spiders from the
faucet. If the white hose is too short, use the other hose
or both hoses. 45psi is a maximum pressure.
17. If not on external water, turn ON water pump
Don’t run pump without water in the fresh water tank.
The pump will run for a few minutes to pressurize the
system. If the pump is not slowing or stopping after 3
minutes, there is something wrong; turn the pump OFF.
Check for water in the freshwater tank. Check for water
at the pump inlet. You may need to draw water to the
inlet for priming. If water is present in both locations,
open the kitchen faucet to relieve all the pressure from
the water system. Close the faucet and try again.
18. Bleed air from water system; all faucets: hot, cold &
toilet
Start from the closest faucet to the source and progress
away. The order is: kitchen sink, exterior shower, bath
sink and toilet. Purge both the hot and cold faucets. The
hot faucet will take longer to clear.
19. Set windows or air conditioning
For cooling, Fully open the Fantastic fan and set
HIGH. Open at least one side window fully. Turn ON
the “AC FAN.” Set the air conditioner to cool. When
cold air is available, turn OFF and close the Fantastic
fan. Close all windows and vents. Close blinds on
windows receiving direct sun. For hot water without
heat, turn ON the Alde. Set the temperature at least 10°
below the desired cabin temperature.
For heating. Alde should be OFF when connecting or
disconnecting external electrical power. Once power is
stable, turn ON the Alde panel. Set the temperature to
“70.” Open the front window to the ‘vent’ position.
Open the Fantastic fan ¼in to control condensation.
There are two electric heat levels plus propane.
If connected to external electric power, the Alde will
default to electric heat. Propane may be selected. If not
on external power, the system will default to propane.
The different levels affect the speed the water is heated
and water temperature. It makes little difference to
cabin comfort.
20. Table raise or move outside
21. Set up battery powered items: thermometer, bath light,
etc.
Battery powered night light goes in the shower. The
three temperature probes go in the refrigerator, rear
stabilizer for outside temperature, and ice chest (if
used).
22. Setup Kitchen
Set up white folding table on the sink side of the
kitchen. Wash bins go on the folding table. From the
kitchen bin: table cloth to the camp site table, towel on
towel bar.
23. Check refrigerator
Be careful opening door, items will shift. Set the
refrigerator one number higher than the setting used
for
towing. The setting should be approximately 1.5
for winter and 2.5 for summer.
