Synthes

Ensure that the drill sleeve is pressed ﬁrmly to the bone and
read the measurement from the calibrated drill bit at the
back of the drill sleeve.

This measurement corresponds to the appropriate length of
the cancellous bone locking screw.

Remove the drill bit and the drill sleeve.

Important:

To avoid perforation of the far cortex with the

cancellous bone locking screw, it is recommended to choose
a cancellous bone locking screw 5 mm shorter than the
measured length.

Insert cancellous bone locking screw

Screwdriver Stardrive, T25,
length 330 mm

Insert the appropriate cancellous bone locking screw through
the protection sleeve using the screwdriver, do not over
tighten.

Verify screw length under image intensification.
