Setting Up Hardware Components
1.2.2.1
Using ARC HS Development kit
1.
Connect HAPS-80 and ARC HSDK by following the instructions:
a.
Connect ARC HSDK J3 and J4 HT3 connectors to the HAPS-80 J6 and J5, respectively.
b.
Insert the micro SD card containing the Linux image in the ARC HSDK system board. You can
find an Image file in the
<workspace>/software/PCI/Linux/main/images/axs101-rc
folder.
c.
Connect the Micro USB cable to the ARC HSDK and your computer.
2.
Connect the E32 PHY card to HAPS-80:
a.
Use HT3 ports 20, 21, 22 and 23 on the HAPS-80 and HT3 ports 4 ,3 ,2 and 1 respectively, on the
E32 PHY. And also HT3 8, 9, 10 and 11 on the HAPS-80 and HT3 connectors 5, 6 ,7 and 8,
respectively, on the E32 PHY to mechanically connect the boards.
3.
Power up sequence:
a.
Connect the HAPS-80 power supply.
During the power-up sequence, the supervision LEDs (RESET, READY, ALERT, and PWR) change
color. After a successful power-up sequence, all LEDs must be green (see
). The LED marked UDONE indicates if the FPGA is configured.
b.
Power up the ARC HSDK system board.
After power-up the ARC HSDK the PWR LED must be green and also LED 1. LEDs 2-4 must be
turned OFF.
