5 Operation
General instructions on how to access the various menus and the buttons to use to
navigate in them are provided in Chapter 9.
5.1 Display
The display indicates all the important functions by means of various icons. After pressing
any button, the display lights up for approx. 10 seconds.

Display Description

The handset is automatically assigned an internal call number when it is
registered on the base station. This internal call number appears to the
left of the name of the telephone when in Standby mode (refer to
Chapter 12.1.1).

It is possible to enter a name for the handset (refer to Chapter 9.3).

When in Standby mode, the time appears on the right-hand side of the
display. (To set the time, refer to Chapter 9.1.)

Indicates the current battery charge status.

A call is currently being made or it appears when the handset is ringing.

An external call is currently being made.
DG
An internal call is currently being made.

An external call has been received.
g
An internal call has been received.
h
Flashing: A new entry has been received in the calls list.
Continuously on: You have accessed the calls list.

The key lock function is switched on.
k
A new message has been recorded.
(Optional service from your network provider, e.g. the Combox.)
m
You have accessed the menu.
n
You are scrolling through the phone book.
P
The microphone on the handset has been switched off during a call.
