This is an example of the PLAYBACK interface,
currently playing back four channels simultaneously in quad view.
Channels 1, 3 and 4 were actively recording.
Channel 2 was not recording at this time - hence the display appears blank.
(The image content has been intentionally blurred.)
The playback controls are displayed across the bottom of the screen.
They are as follows:
Rewind

The VIDEO SETUP menu allows you to
control the video signals being sent and
received by the DVR.
You can confi gure settings for both
composite video (BNC) in/outputs, and
the built-in monitor.
VGA RESOLUTION:
This setting will determine how detailed the image sent to the
built in monitor will be. The term VGA is somewhat of an anachronism, referring
to the plug-type, not to the actual resolution. Of course, you won’t need to worry
about plugging anything - the monitor connections are all contained within the
DVR/monitor unit.
The DVR can be set to three different resolutions: SVGA (800 x 600), XGA (1024 x
728) or SXGA (1280 x 1024). We suggest that SXGA (1280 x 1024) is a fi ne choice,
which will deliver the highest quality images the DVR can display.
VIDEO SYSTEM:
Here you can choose between PAL and NTSC. PAL is used in
Western Europe and Australia, NTSC is used in the US, Canada and Japan.
If images from a camera appear to be black and white, fl ickering, distorted or
similar, then this is probably caused by the video system being set incorrectly.
