Chapter 5: Local control of the equipment
User’s Manual: DT-02 Series
21
The DT-02 equipment is configured, controlled and monitored locally, using
the display and the keyboard on the front panel, or remotely via RS-232
connection.
The equipment displays a main screen that is divided in two lines. In the
first line the following parameters are shown:
Frequency (MHz)
Audio status (Enabled/Disabled). These parameters’ status is only
displayed if the input signal type is composite video or SDI. If a DVB-ASI
Transport Stream is introduced this field is marked with and ‘X’.
Data/GPS channel status (Enabled/Disabled). This parameter’s status is
only displayed if the input signal type is composite video or SDI. If a
DVB-ASI Transport Stream is introduced this field is marked with and ‘X’.
Input signal type selection and detection (Video, SDI or DVB-ASI
Transport stream)
When the selected input is ASI Transport Stream the equipments
displays the input signal bitrate.
If the selected input is Video or SDI the equipment shows the video
encoding format used (MPEG-2 4:2:2 or MPEG-2 4:2:0) and the latency
(Standard, 800ms or Super Low delay 80ms)
In the line below the following parameters are displayed:
Modulation scheme (QPSK, 16QAM o 64QAM)
FEC (1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6 o 7/8)
Guard interval (1/4, 1/8, 1/16 o 1/32)
Output bitrate (Mpbs)

If an alarm is triggered because the power supply voltage is out of range or
because the temperature of the equipment is too high, the second line in
the main screen is alternated every three seconds with another line where
temperature and voltage values are displayed. The field of the alarmed
parameter blinks.
