DCU IP Prefetcher
Select Enabled for DCU (Data Cache Unit) IP Prefetcher support, which will prefetch
IP addresses to improve network connectivity and system performance. The options
are
Enabled and Disabled.
Intel
®
Virtualization Technology (Available when supported by the CPU)
Select Enabled to support Intel Virtualization Technology, which will allow one
platform to run multiple operating systems and applications in independent
partitions, creating multiple "virtual" systems in one physical computer. The options
are
Enabled and Disabled.
Note : If there is any change to this setting, you will need to power off and
restart the system for the change to take effect. Please refer to Intel’s
website for detailed information.)
PPIN Support (Available when supported by the CPU)
Select Enabled for Protected_Processor_Inventory_Number (PPIN) support,
which will allow the BIOS setup returns a 64-bit ID number via the PPIN MSR
(Magnetic Stripe Reader.) The options are
Enabled and Disabled.

CPU Power Management Configuration
This submenu allows the user to configure the following CPU Power Management
settings.
Power Technology
Select Energy Efficient to support power-saving mode. Select Custom to
customize system power settings. Select Max Performance to optimize system
performance. Select Disabled to disable power-saving settings. The options are
Disabled,
Energy Efficient , Custom, and Max Performance. If the option is set
to Custom, the following items will display:
EIST (Available when Power Technology is set to Custom)
EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to
automatically adjust processor voltage and core frequency to reduce power
consumption and heat dissipation. The options are Disabled and
Enabled
.
Turbo Mode (Available when Power Technology is set to Custom)
Select Enabled to use the Turbo Mode to boost system performance. The
options are
Enabled and Disabled.
