(*Notes: 1. Silicon Image Serial ATA RAID Function has been pre-installed
in the BIOS ROM, and the Sil 3112 host controller driver has been preset
to "Enabled" via a jumper (JPA1).
2. SerialRAID Configuration Utility will not be accessible if there is no
SATA Hard Drive installed in the system.
3. In order to enable the functions of RAID or to access the features of
RAID listed in the Serial ATA RAID Configuration Utility, you need to install
two SATA Hard Drives in the system.
4. For the Windows OS, there are two SATA RAID drivers installed in
the CD ROM that came with your motherboard. If the function of "SATA
RAID Feature" is enabled in the BIOS, use the RAID Driver. If "disabled",
use the "Non-RAID Driver.
5. To configure RAID 0/1, you need to enable "SATA RAID Features" in
the BIOS.
6. To configure SATA ZCR, you need to disable "SATA RAID Features" in
the BIOS.
1. Using Silicon Image Serial ATA RAIDConfiguration
Utility
(*Note: For easy access to Serial ATA Configuration Utility, it is
recommended that you temporarily disable the features of Quick Boot
and Quiet Boot in "Boot Features" in the BIOS Advanced Settings. To
Disable Quick Boot and Quiet Boot, please hit the <Delete> key at the
POST to go to BIOS, and then, use the right and left arrow keys to
select the Advanced Settings, and hit the <Enter> key. Once you are
in the Advanced Setting, use the Up and Down arrow keys to select
"Boot Features". Then, follow instructions to disable the functions of
"Quick Boot" and "Quiet Boot". (Please refer to Chapter 4 Page 4-6).
To Access Serial ATA RAID Configuration Utility:
At the POST, Hit CTRL-S or F4 to go inside the Silicon Image configuration
utility. The following screen appears:
