Introduction

1-1 Overview

Supermicro's SC823M chassis series offers a 17.7" short-depth 2U foot-print with
advanced airflow thermal control. These chassis are designed for front-end serv-
ers, database applications, Internet, e-business, server clustering and other server
applications. The SC823M supports a wide range of dual/single processor-based
motherboards (up to E.E.ATX 13.68" x 13"), 700 or 800 Watt high-efficiency (1+1)
redundant power supplies, seven low-profile or three full-height and four low-profile
expansion cards, with three rear hot-swappable drive bays.
