Chapter 5: Chassis Setup and Maintenance

5-9 Completing the Installation

Once the air shroud is properly installed, do the following to complete the instal-
lation procedure.

Completing the Installation

1. If your chassis is equipped with a DVD-ROM drive, install the DVD-ROM drive

unit and connect the DVD-ROM drive to the motherboard.

2. Install the hard drive tray. The hard drive tray includes a SAS/SATA back-

plane. Connect the backplane to the motherboard.

3. Securely close the chassis cover.

If the chassis will be installed into a rack, continue to the next chapter for rack
installation instructions.
