4-4 Drive Carrier LEDs
Your chassis uses SAS(3)/SATA drives.
SAS(3)/SATA Drives
Each SAS(3)/SATA drive carrier has two LEDs.
•
Green: Each SAS(3)/SATA drive carrier has a green LED. When illuminated,
this green LED (on the front of the SAS(3)/SATA drive carrier) indicates drive
activity. A connection to the SAS(3)/SATA backplane enables this LED to blink
on and off when that particular drive is being accessed.
•
Red: The red LED indicates a SAS(3)/SATA drive failure. If one of the SAS(3)/
SATA drives fail, you should be notified by your system management software.
