The belt tension can be tested with a Frequency
tension Tester Optibelt 3 TT or manually by pushing
with a force of 8 kg or 17.6 lbs at point A (Fig.8.10.7),
where the deflection of the belt must be 3.44 mm or
±0,135Inch (Fig.8.10.9). It is recommended that the
tension of the belt be measured with a Frequency
tension Tester Optibelt 3 TT . The tension of the belt
must be (200-210) 1/s. t is possible to tension the belt
by using the pre-installed supports (Fig.8.10.10) as
references, provided that they have not been moved
from their factory position.
ATTENTION:
NEVER “OVER” TENSION THE BELT, THE BELT WILL BE DESTROYED AND IT WILL NEVER RECOVER ITS ORIGINAL TENSION
Slightly screw in the six
bolts
(Fig.8.10.7) and
tighten the belt by tightening
the
screw (4)
(Fig.8.10.9)(Fig.8.10.8).
When the correct tension is
reached, fully tighten the six
bolts
(Fig.8.10.7) and
recheck the tension of the
two timing belts.
ATTENTION: After testing the tension on any
of the two Мotor support belts with the Frequency tension Tester
Optibelt 3 TT always check again the tension of the two belts.

Driving belt of the generator
To maintain the belt of the generator, it is required to remove the cover of the generator (Fig.8.10.11).
Unscrew the fastening bolts (Fig.8.10.11) (Fig.8.10.12).
While tensioning, regularly check belt tension. Push the belt down with a pressure of 45N (Fig. 8.10.13). This is
approximately 4.5 kilograms or 10 pounds. Aith this pressure, the belt should move 6.9-7.8 mm or 0.27-0.30 inch. It is
recommended that the tension of the belt be measured with an Optikrik I Device (Measuring range: 150-600 N)
(Fig. 8.10.13) The intial pressure is P=300 N, which eventually falls to P=230 N.
ATTENTION:
NEVER “OVER” TENSION THE BELT, THE BELT WILL BE DESTROYED AND IT WILL NEVER
RECOVER ITS ORIGINAL TENSION
Use wrench
№17 and №13. Hold the nut with wrench №13 on the top of the
generator and wrench
№17 on the gear wheel under the generator(Fig.
8.10.14)(Fig. 8.10.15). Loosen the nut on the top
(Fig. 8.10.14), turn clockwise the
№17 wrench to tighten the belt, then tighten the
nut (Fig. 9.10.14). Check the tension of the belt. If it is not tight enough, loosen the
