3) Thread take-up spring
1. When the thread take up spring

changed: Loosen the screw

and turn the thread
adjusting device shaft

set the position at the thread guide front

2. When the thread take up spring

’s tension
is changed: Disassemble the automatic thread
adjusting device

from the arm. Loosen two
screws

for the thread tension collar. Then loosen
two screws

adjusting device and turn the thread adjusting
device shaft

to set the tension of the thread take
up spring

. Turn the shaft clockwise to increase
the tension; turn the shaft counter clockwise to
decrease the tension.
