1.
First read the safety guidelines carefully. Comply with these guidelines now and in the future.
2.
The SunnyTent can only be set up in places where the hinged anchors and pegs can be driven into the ground. For
installation on a hard surface, the special “Hard Surface Kit” must be purchased. Do not place the SunnyTent on a hard
surface without this Hard Surface kit. This kit will prevent wear on the underside (the bottom two pole tunnels). Such wear
is not covered by the warranty. If the ground surface on which the SunnyTent is installed is not even, even when using our
special “Hard Surface Kit”, wear may still occur on the underside (the bottom two pole tunnels). You should therefore, only
install a SunnyTent on a flat, level surface.
3.
You can use the SunnyTent for all kinds of applications. The most common / known applications are the covering of a
swimming pool, sandpit, trampoline and vegetable garden. However, the SunnyTent is sometimes also used for the
temporary storage of products that must remain dry. Please ensure that there is adequate ventilation so that mould does
not appear on the stored items.
4.
If you use an automatic lawn mower (robot), you must ensure that it cannot collide with the SunnyTent. This is to prevent
damage.
5.
You can close the SunnyTent completely, fully open it or partially open it.
SunnyTent Round M, L, L+ or XL
SunnyTent Oval M or L
With a low wind speed (expected), maximum wind
force 3 Bft., you can leave the SunnyTent partially
open (at approx. 35%), provided that the wind co-
mes from the opposite side to the opening side and
that the set of poles are installed properly. You must
secure the partially opened tent with the included
guy line (s), as described in the installation instruc-
tion.
With wind speed (expected) and / or gusts of wind
between 3 and 5 Bft. do not leave the tent partially
open. This is especially true if the windy side is the
same as the opening side of the tent, there is a dan-
ger that the wind could blow the tent down. In such
cases, you must leave the tent either fully open or
fully closed (and with all twist pegs secured) (Note:
Do not swim / play in a closed SunnyTent!).
With wind speed (expected) 5 Bft. or higher, you
must open the SunnyTent completely (and lay it on
the ground) and place something sufficiently heavy
(without sharp parts) on it, so that the tent stays
firmly in place.
Note: The entire opening (and later closing) of the
SunnyTent must always be done by two adults.
Note: Never open the SunnyTent halfway, but about
35% or completely, as explained in the instruction
manual.
Take the wind into account when opening your
SunnyTent. If there is a moderate or stronger wind
blowing in the direction of one of the long sides,
then open the tent on the other long side. When
conditions are still, the tent can be opened on both
sides.
A fully and properly closed oval SunnyTent can
withstand wind (and gusts) of up to a force 3 Bft.
With the addition of the double Cross-pole set, this
increases to 4 to 5 Bft. With stronger winds / gusts
you must fold your SunnyTent all the way down (by
detaching the ‘head parts’ and the ‘intermediate
part’ from each other and lowering the tent comple-
tely to the ground (place something heavy, but not
sharp, on the lowered tent so that the tent parts do
not blow away).
A SunnyTent that is partially open (on the long /
straight side (s)) is more sensitive to wind than a
closed SunnyTent. This of course strongly depends
on how exposed the location of your SunnyTent is
and whether the tent is open on the windward side
or on the opposite side of the wind.
Attention: The entire opening (and later closing) of
the SunnyTent must always be carried out by two
adults.
Attention: Never open the SunnyTent halfway, but
only about 35% or fully, as explained in the instruc-
tions.
•
If a strong wind (or gusts of wind) is expected or the wind is strong, you must carefully check all the pegs and
hinge anchors. In strong winds, also use the plastic locking pegs to help secure the twist pegs. See the
installation instructions for more detailed information.
•
In snow and freezing weather, snow and ice can accumulate on the SunnyTent. This can cause it to bend and
possibly be damaged / broken. Therefore, if snow / freezing rain is expected, you must open the SunnyTent
completely (and place it on the ground).
•
Never leave the SunnyTent partially open, unattended. Always keep a close eye on the weather and the weather
forecast, to prevent the SunnyTent from blowing out of its hinge anchors, being damaged or causing damage to
other things or third parties.
6.
Do not leave the SunnyTent unattended unless you are 100% sure that the weather is calm and predictable (no strong wind
(gusts), etc.). If you do, you run the risk of damage to the tent as a result of, for example, strong wind (gusts), snow or
sleet. This damage is not covered by the warranty.
7.
If you use the SunnyTent as a tent over your swimming pool, the location of the skimmer of your swimming pool needs
attention. You should not place this on the opening sides of the tent of the pool, but as close to the anchor side as
possible. There, the tent foil does not lay behind the skimmer when the SunnyTent is opened / closed. Always look
carefully where the skimmer fits best in your case, so that the tent foil is not damaged.
8.
Never use cleaning agents for the maintenance / cleaning of your SunnyTent. Such substances can cause the stitching,
with which the different sheets of foil / tent canvas are sewn together, to wear out and / or fray more quickly. You must
clean your SunnyTent by spraying the tent with cold water. Do not use a pressure / hard jet, lukewarm or warm water,
brushes or other aids, all these can damage the protective layer of the tent foil, causing it to wear out more quickly and
reducing the effectiveness of the anti-condensation layer.
9.
Make sure that you store your SunnyTent at room temperature. If you place the SunnyTent close to a heating pipe or other
heat source, there is a chance that the material of the tent can shrink.
10.
If you use your SunnyTent in the winter, take the following into account:
The SunnyTent does not protect your swimming pool or other items contained in it from frost (damage).
11.
The temperature and humidity in the SunnyTent can increase considerably. Never place anything under the SunnyTent that
is sensitive to this.
