Unpacking the System

2

This chapter describes how to inspect and unpack the shipping carton, and
describes how to safely move the server cabinet to its working location.

2.1 Tools

•

Tinsnips (for unpacking the cabinet)

•

#2 Phillips screwdriver

•

Levelling wrench (packed inside the system cabinet)

•

Front panel key (packed in a recloseable bag in the accessory box)

2.2 Inspecting for Damage

Inspect the shipping cartons for evidence of physical damage. If a shipping
carton is damaged, request that the carrier’s agent be present when the carton
is opened. Keep all contents and packing material for the agent’s inspection.

The docuggment carton packed in the server shipping container contains this
installation manual and the system service manual.

2.3 Unpacking the Server Cabinet

If the cabinet is already unpacked, go to Section 2.4, “Moving the System.”
