Tip –
The default ILOM administrator account user name is
root
and the password is
changeme
.
If this default administrator account has been changed, contact your system administrator for
an ILOM user account with administrator privileges.
Check to see if DHCP is already configured for the server module node SP by entering the
command:
show /CH/BL0/NODE0/SP/network
where
BL0/NODE0
represents the chassis blade slot 0, server module node 0. If DHCP is already
configured, you see
ipdiscovery = dhcp
and
pendingipdiscovery = dhcp
.
To configure the SP to use DHCP, enter the following commands:
-> cd /CH/BL0/NODE0/SP/network
-> set pendingipdiscovery=dhcp
-> set commitpending=true
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to configure the server's other node.
For example, if you have already configured
NODE0
, you would then enter the commands to
configure
NODE1
.
To log out of CMM ILOM, enter the command:
-> exit

How to Configure a Static IP Address
If you plan to assign a static IP address to a server node's ILOM service processor, perform the
following procedure.
Open a terminal window.
Log in to the chassis CMM ILOM using a secure shell (SSH) session.
For example:
$ ssh
username
@
CMMIPaddress
where username is a user account with administrator privileges and the CMMIPaddress is the IP
address of the CMM ILOM.
