Determining Rack Space Usage
Make sure that the ftServer 3300 or 5600 systems and components fit into the vertical
space available in the rack.
To determine the vertical space used
1. In the Quantity column of Table 7-5 , enter the number of each component.
2. In each row, multiply the value in the Component Height column by the Quantity,
and enter the subtotal in the Cumulative Height column.
3. Add the values in the Cumulative Height column together and write the resulting
value in the bottom row. Compare this value to the height of your rack as measured
in rack units (U).
