To authenticate users and groups against primary domain controller:
1. Click
Security
, located on the Main Menu.
2. Select Security Mode:

Modes
tab.
4. Select
Mixed mode

5. Enter the names of your
NT Domain Name
(but not DNS domain name)
,
Primary Domain Controller
and your
WINS Server
in the appropriate fields.

6. Click
Accept

7. Make changes to users and groups on the Primary Domain Controller.
Do not
manage users and groups through ApplianceView, except for the UID/GID
mapping information which is NFS-related, and, thus, cannot be managed through
Active Directory Services.
