Checking the condition and wear of the

chains and lubrication

–

Lubricate the lift chains (1) using chain

spray.

Adjust the lift chains

NOTE

The forks should rest on the load arms in the

lower position, with the chains slightly taut. If

this is not the case, the chains must be retight-

ened (2) and extended by no more than 3%.

Otherwise, the chains must be replaced.

Checking the guard grille

–

Check that the guard grille (3) is correctly

attached and in good condition.

–

Replace the guard grille if it is damaged.

–

Adhere to the number of fastenings as de-

fined by the manufacturer.

The grille must be installed and correctly attached.
Do not attach anything to the grille that could affect

the visibility of the forks.
When cleaning the fork carriage side, only clean the

grille when the fork carriage is in the lowered posi-

tion.


