Instruction manual for Evario hospital bed

9.12

“Easy Care” Function

This function is available for beds without a fixed headboard as an additional control level on the

LCD handset and on the outside control panel. It is ideal for carrying out efficient bed adjustments

during everyday patient care. All useful bed adjustment functions for patient care are available on

a single control level for quick selection -

including any functions that may be locked for patients’

use. After completing care tasks, the system automatically reverts to the first level after 2 minutes.

The individual adjustments originally locked are reactivated.

9.12.1 Activation on LCD Handset

Press and hold both toggle switches

(2) at the same time, then

with the keys pressed, briefly hold the
top end of the LCD handset (3)
against the orange release magnet

2 To indicate that the control level has been

activated:

a short tone is emitted,

the backlit LCD display flashes continu-
ously

and the “Easy Care” display briefly a

pears

The “Easy Care” control level can only be activated from the

patient control level!

While the "Easy Care" control level is activated, the "EC" logo also always appears in

the top right-hand corner of the display

CAUTION

Only medical staff are authorised to operate the “Easy Care” function!

Ensure that patients do not have access to the handset while the Easy Care function is

activated, as all bed adjustments are unlocked for use.

Failure to do so may result in injuries to patients due to unintentional activation of bed ad-

justments that may pose a risk, e.g. the Trendelenburg position.
